Crashed file becomes "File Not Found or Invalid"

I cannot open the original file, the AutoSave or the backup file. The weird thing is I had a backup saved on OneDrive earlier in the day, about 2hrs before the issue, so I downloaded that backup thinking it would open. (I had no issues with the model at all when I backed it up.) It gave me the same message that the file was “File Not Found or Invalid.”

Update: A coworker tried to open the file on a PC using SketchUp 2018 and received the message “Unexpected File Format.”

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might have happened or if there is a chance I can get the model repaired somehow?

SketchUp Pro 2018 - latest update
MacBook Pro running macOS High Sierra version 10.13.4
Mid 2015 with Retina Display
2.5 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB 1600 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB

File crashing all the time

Match Picture option not all accessible

Intersecting Objects Slice

Scenes not saving

How to create this padding effect? | Air dome

Sketchup Repeatedly Crashing

Triple click no longer works, and thoughts on pricing

Hey, it’s your company, Trimble. You’ve given us a long time to sample the heroin, and now we need to pay top dollar for it. That’s on us. I’d love to see you do something like Photoshop - a program I bought, but with the option of an only mildly brain dead Photoshop Elements in the $50 - $100 ballpark. $200 per year is pretty steep.

Anyway, any ideas on getting triple click to work?

Sketchup web crashing on iOS

Export dxf of lines behind transparent objects?

Difficult to be clear on this one. Basically I’m not being able to export a 2D drawing from both Sketchup 2018 Pro and LayOut, that shows all lines behind transparent objects. What happens is all objects appear as solid instead of transparent when exporting PDF or DXF.
Also under Styles, I’ve turned on Material transparency and turned Quality into Nicer but didn’t solve the problem.

Is there any way these lines behind objects can be exported and into a different grey?

Component Visibility

Relations in sketchup

I just want to make an ellipse why is this so hard?

I make a circle now I have to resize using “Scale” tool.
Scale tool only shows me the proportional change. Crazy.

Is there a way to force inferences, such as geometric center, midpoint etc?

In Autocad, for example, I can type in an alias in the command line (in mid command) and it will look for only that snap point…

Model Walls Transparant

Why doesn't intersect faces work with planar faces?

When I use Intersect with model in the correct context the top and bottom faces should be split where they interact with the other object, but they don’t. The sides do, I guess because they are passing through a face, but why not the planar faces?
Again I know I only need to draw in the line, but that isn’t my point. I don’t understand why it doesn’t work.

Here’s a better example of why I would want and expect it to work. I know I can make the curved plank thicker and it will work, but again why should I need to?

Both these actions work with solid tools, so why not with Intersect Faces?
Is this a Bug or a Limitation!

Trouble importing DXF into SketchUp
