I greatly prefer adding dimensions in SketchUp because, in perspective view, you can be 100% sure you're picking the right points. In Layout's 'flat' mode you must be aware all the time its using the right points and the dimensions are correct. Wrong dimensions = big problems further on the road. That's the reason I don't use the dimension tool in Layout.
Running dimensions also make life easier - all cad programs have this feature so if it were available in pro it would be great!
