Default file locations

I'm getting an error message on my recently installed su2016 when I updated from 2015. It's saying my file locations in preferences are invalid. I've always left them on the default of C:\Users\Jeff\Documents. Now they're highlighted in red and asking for new locations Is the default location actually invalid?
